From an incident of racism that happened to her niece at school, Liliane shows us how the heroes and heroines of chindren's stories don't represent all kids, an tells us about her project Maraia's Rag Dolls and how it's helping children to be empowered and dream higher through representativeness in toys.
Liliane R L de Oliveira Moraes is graduating in psychology and is the creator of the project Maraia's Rag Dolls, which transforms characters from children's stories into black rag dolls, a project for kids, but that has captivated adults of all ages. These black dolls are an important tool in the fight against racism, which is directed to people since a young age, as they act positively in the child understanding capacity, as they show kids that the human figure can be beautiful, worthy of care and affection, regardless of color and ethnicity.
