Navigating the world of grief
Laura Thomas • TEDxCherryCreekWomen
Loss and grief impact all our lives, and yet not many of us know how to navigate them. In her
talk, Laura Thomas explores the taboo subject of grief as a surviving sister after losing her
brother to suicide. Healing after loss isn’t easy, and it’s even harder in isolation. Laura turned to
art, theater, and the power of community as a way to bring grief out from behind closed doors and into supportive spaces. In doing so, she found that we can find ways to heal together. As a writer, speaker, and performer, Laura is passionate about removing barriers to love and empowering people through stories.
