At 19 years old, Lara Prior-Palmer made headlines when she became the first female winner, and youngest ever finisher, of the Mongol Derby, the world's longest and toughest horse race. Traversing 1,000 km across the Mongolian steppe helps her to embrace bravery in its surprising and quiet forms. She is the author of "Rough Magic," her debut memoir.
