Anything is possible : how I ran an Ironman after a double transplant

There are certain things in life that most of us take for granted, like eating, laughing and breathing. But for most of his life, these things were a challenge for Jonathan Drutel.
However, his life changed 10 years ago, when he received a double transplant that gave him new lungs, a new heart and a new chance to experience life as he truly wanted.
Determined to make the most of every moment of his new found freedom, Jonathan set out to prove to the world that the destiny of a sick person is not written in advance by taking on a challenge that is only usually considered by the fittest and healthiest among us.
In 2018, Jonathan took on the Ironman contest in Nice, one of the World’s most beautiful, but challenging triathlons with its 3.8km swim through open sea, 180.2km bike ride through the Alps and a 42.195km marathon along Nice’s historic waterfront – all to be completed within 16 hours or less.
Meet the real Tony Stark, with his trisuit worn like an armour, Jonathan is a superhero setting out to find his own inner freedom, while inspiring others along the way.
