Resilience is that ability to “bounce back” from stress, or growth through “the struggle.” Through this growth, a person can come back from a difficult time as a stronger person with more ideas and experience about life. Ideas for building resilience after struggles include: 1.) Knowing your supports; 2.) Thinking about the struggles later. Reflecting back on what was learned and where growth occurred; 3.) Learning to look ahead for struggles; and 4.) Taking time to create some “positive struggle.”
