Hiroshi Hatano, a photographer and former hunter, has been quietly watching wildlife for years. He developed multiple myeloma, a hematologic cancer, in 2017. He publicly announced his cancer and continues to share his honest thoughts on his illness, the family he has to leave behind, on dying, and on living. His words stir our emotions and have received a tremendous response.
