He was born in Aleppo, Syria in 2000. He arrived in Malaysia in 2012 with his family due to
the war in his country. Since then, they have struggled a lot to make a living as refugees, so
he decided to work and help his family. From washing dishes to cleaning toilets, he did it all
and many more at the tender age of 12. He was detained in a Malaysian prison for 9 days due
to illegally working as a refugee, and after he was released, he wanted to do something
different to help the community and the refugee children. Hence he started volunteering in
a few refugee learning centers. In 2016, he founded the “Al-Hasan Volunteer Network”, a
non-profit organization running more than 13 projects for the communities in Malaysia and
for the youth. He spoke in many conferences and events, including TEDxAPUKL and
TEDxAlbukhary. He also speaks Arabic, English and Malay fluently. Now, he is studying
the foundation in Arts & Education at Nottingham University Malaysia.
