"As soon as you hear the phrase gender issues, you picture an activist shouting for the rights of women. We completely forget that gender transcends the borders of one's biological sex. It is not restricted to an issue for women alone but in fact includes men and other genders. Are men and can men be partners in feminism? In this video, Harish Sadani shares how men can and must help fight gender injustice. Gender issues can't be resolved without the men being involved. They need to be sensitised and made aware of how the deep-rooted patriarchy has given rise to the gender inequality. Once they have been sensitised, Harish goes on to tell how easy it is to get involved, and how small changes in the way you talk go a long way in ensuring that we get rid of the gender issues in India, by increasing the tribe of male feminists. Harish Sadani runs an organisation called Men Against Violence and Abuse (MAVA), a one-of-a-kind organisation of feminist Indian men, that portrays patriarchy as a common enemy of women and men. "
