Fighting for a place in the Old Boys' club

Grace is currently a barrister in Birmingham, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017, at the age of 21. She then worked in the United States of America specialising in criminal defence, most notably defending clients charged with firearms offences and drug trafficking. She returned to the UK and began her career as a barrister in England in 2019. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. The theme of this years TEDxYouth@Brum 2021 conference is INSERT FUTURE HERE.
