Climate crisis is a complex issue for a single entitiy to solve and therefore requires the cooperation of many parties. However, jurisdictional differences and sectoral egos are often the biggest obstacles. Not to mention populist policies and political agendas that can disrupt long-term planning. Debates often arise between prioritizing between the welfare of communiteies and preserving the environment. It's as if the two are not interrelated: It's impossible for a community to prosper if the environment is degraded, and the community won't protect their environment if it's not bringing them prosperity. Gita shares about the crucial role of the convener, navigating the intricate socio-politic landscape, weaving collaborations, to create synergy and knowledge exchange between districts in tackling climate-caused disaster and cultivating environmental-centered prosperity.
