At just 11 years of age, Flossie Donnelly is probably one of Dublin's best youngest and well known Environmental Activists. Flossie is a student at St. Patrick's, Dalkey and her hobby is cleaning the local beaches to keep the world alive and pretty. During a holiday in Thailand the rubbish was so bad in the sea that she and her Mum collected and brought back rubbish to the hotel. At home, she noticed more and more rubbish being washed up on the beach. After setting up a weekly beach cleaning club Flossie managed to fundraise enough money to get the first Seabins in Ireland. Keeping the sea clean is important to Flossie who doesn’t want the lovely marine life to be strangled by plastic.
