Dr. Nimal Raghvan is a water warrior, an Environmental activist, the Founder of the MEGA (Make Earth Green Again) Foundation, and an ambassador of Biota Soil. He is also the Vice- president of KAIFA (Karamadai Area Integrated Farmers Association), which works on the betterment of Farmers and Fishermen by rejuvenating water bodies, tree plantations, rainwater harvesting, and many other disaster management work. He has also worked as the Advisor of the Animal Welfare Board Abu Dhabi. Nimal is currently working on Organic farming, rejuvenation of water bodies, plantation of trees, Rain water harvesting, and Climate change.
With all of this he gave a TEDx talk at GLA University by sharing his journey, he told that when he was 6 months old, his father was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Life turned out to be very difficult and after losing his father things got very complicated but somehow he managed and got his first job in Pune and then Dubai. This was all possible because he did not stop trying. As a water warrior, he worked for the betterment and protection of his village along with 90 other villages. He dedicated his entire life to the sake of mother earth. In the conclusion of his talk, he stated that with a simple mindset you can fulfil your big dream. His views surely helped the audience in shaping a better opinion and through his journey, we learned that if we look after the land then it will look after us, but if we destroy the land then it will destroy us.
