Dr. Lorraine Gudas shared her journey from beginning as a young female researcher in a very male-dominated field to becoming the first woman to chair a basic science department at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. She discussed her groundbreaking research that further advanced our understanding of cancer and much more. Additionally, she described many of the professional obstacles she encountered along the way to becoming the Chairwoman of the Pharmacology Department at Cornell.
