Dr. Jerome Adams is the 20th Surgeon General of the United States. In this talk, he offers a hopeful vision about how we can provide opportunities to children that enable them to make healthy choices that lead to a healthy, strong, and resilient nation.
Reflecting on his own experiences growing up in southern Maryland working tobacco fields, and how that industry affected his health and the health of his family, Adams suggests that we should find ways to ensure that children can grow up healthy and strong without needing to compromise individual or collective health.
