What would you do if your dreams got crushed by reality?
Dominic Soh was pursuing his childhood dream of piloting in 2013 and after a couple of flying lessons, his aviation doctor found that he had a rare blood condition which meant a higher risk of getting a stroke. His piloting dream was shot down, he got fired from his next job and had to send 526 resumes over 561 days to secure employment after.
In this talk, he shares insights on developing the right mindset to take ownership of change and turn adversity into advantage. This was what got him speaking around the world, going on the TEDxMelbourne open mic stage, finishing a 103km ultra-marathon and interviewing Navy SEALs and Olympians.
