The Power of Street Art
Daniela De Castro Sucre |
TEDxPensacola
• November 2019
The message behind a painted wall transcends the art itself and speaks of a place, a time, and a people. Daniela de Castro Sucre is a multimedia visual artist from Caracas, Venezuela. In her talk, she discusses how public art is a reflection of its environment, and how it can empower and connect the members of a community. She tells a story of public art as a form of protest, and shares her own journey as a muralist and how she has found purpose through painting large-scale art.
