Cosima Buccoliero, from Puglia, has worked in the prison administration since 1997. After the experiences at the prison of Cagliari and the Department of Correction of Rome, since 2003 she has moved to Milan.
She has held countless seminars in schools to raise awareness and overcome biases and prejudices about the prison world, and today is the deputy director of the Bollate prison, where she is actively engaged in promoting a new community-oriented institutional model.
This talk was presented at a TEDx event, which uses the TED conference but has been organized independently by a local community.
