岳明國小校長黃建榮不在岸上教海洋教育，而是帶領孩子親自站上帆船，成為小小帆船手乘風破浪。今年，黃建榮更帶領這群小學生橫渡黑潮，前往石垣島。他始終相信人類是天生的冒險家，但冒險精神絕非將自己陷入危險之中，而是做好準備，勇敢面對挑戰。
若將生命比擬為一艘船，該永遠繫在港口，還是勇敢出海？「生命之船若沒有感受過驚滔駭浪的刺激，也不會懂風平浪靜的幸福，如此停在港口的船，只會變成一堆廢鐵。人生也是如此。」
As an Yilan native who oversees a small sea-side school, Principal Huang knew that marine education is an important topic not to be dismissed from his student's curriculum. Opting for hands-on learning, he first introduced dinghy sailing as an after-school club activity. Here he shares what the sea has taught him and these young sailors as they sailed off to an island near Okinawa, Japan.
