This talk regards the importance of demystifying Menstruation Taboos through Menstrual Education. Menstrual health is a widely tabooed topic, even in today's society. As a woman, Candice struggles with the idea that young girls and boys are fed harmful stereotypes and misinformation, much of which affects the lived experience of women and girls, particularly in impoverished communities. She has dedicated her Master’s thesis to uncovering and addressing the many systemic, cultural and societal injustices and inaccuracies surrounding menstrual health.
