The world's access to clean water is at a tipping point. Increasing pollution has degraded our freshwater aquifers and coastal aquatic ecosystems. As many as 63 million people were exposed to potentially unsafe water more than once during the past decade. While many people have heard about the issues in Flint and Newark, 25% of Americans drink water from systems that don't meet current water safety regulations. To address the water scarcity issue, Bryan Eagle discusses the actionable ways in which we can start re-using our wastewater for potable and non-potable uses and find more economical ways to desalinate ocean water.
