Using mathematics to analyze data from the world around us can help discover new treatments, grow food more efficiently, select better NBA starting lineups, and more! Bala Krishnamoorthy is a mathematics professor at Washington State University. He works on pure and applied problems from topology, geometry, optimization, and data science. He collaborates with surgeons, chemists, agronomists, criminologists, and also consults for industry. This talk was delivered on June 9, 2019 at the first-ever TEDxYouth@Camas event.
