Andrew Funk's mission is to eliminate homelessness and to create a network of professionals that focus on preventative measures. He believes that there is a surplus of resources and knowledge that can create be managed more efficiently to provide life-changing solutions for people with and without housing. He created Homeless Entrepeneur to innovate by bringing top business professionals who are interested in applying their know-how to speed up the process of creating work and housing for homeless people. They foster this environment by building both a global and local community of people who truly care about going above and beyond traditional solutions that create a dependency on charity instead of the desire to become independent. By asking people who have never thought about social issues to join the conversation and rethink the current models that are being used to provide food, clothing and social housing, they are allowing bright minds to innovate in a very traditionally-minded sector.
