There's amazing scientific research being done these days—but chances are, you don't know about it. It's hard to talk about complex science, and even when images work better than words, many labs lack design skills. While studying neuroscience at Columbia, Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya decided to do something about that. She became an art director herself and has since worked to pair scientists with designers who can help them illuminate their work.
