Could playing a game become the perfect way of getting to know somebody?
What if a game could allow us to thoroughly grasp one’s abilities?
Gaming psychology combined with neuroscience applications and game theory shed light on these doubts providing witty answers.
A game is challenging by nature and its player does not hold back and acts following reasoning; by doing so we are able to measure the gamer’s talent. Heterogeneous situations might be modelled upon a simple game so that we would consider a plethora of aspects concerning each decision.
This mechanism will eventually leads us to a more conscious and clever choice.
Plato once stated that a single hour of gaming could reveal more about a person than a conversation lasting one year. According to game psychologist Alan Mattiassi, today we can prove the Greek philosopher right.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
