  • Vanitha Mohan
    Smt. Vanitha Mohan, is the Managing Trustee of Siruthuli, Vice Chairman at Pricol Limited and also a Board Member of Tamil Nadu Women's Development Corporation. Her Aim is to address the environmental problems of Coimbatore with focus on Water Management and Enhancement of Green Cover on the region. She was presented with the "Hindu Women of the Year" Award in 2012 and her efforts with Siruthuli have been awarded with the UNESCO Water Digest Award, IWWA Award, Green Globe Foundation Award and Siruthuli has been named the Best Three NGO's in the World for Best Water Practices by- Water for Life Secretariat of the United Nations
  • Peter Van Geit
    Peter, born and raised in Belgium, is settled in Chennai for the last 15 years, working as a Project Manager in CISCO Systems India. Peter has driven over 50,000 kms across India on his Royal Enfield and has conquered the Himalayas thrice. A few years ago, he founded the Chennai Trekking Club (CTC), a non-profit volunteer based group of trekking enthusiasts who explore mountains and jungles across South India nearly all weekends of the year. This Chennai based group has currently close to 19000 members! An expert in map reading, navigation and GPS, Peter has taken thousands of trekkers to many previously unexplored locations and is now leading One of the Biggest Clean up campaigns: The Chennai Coastal Cleanup!
  • Gloria Benny
    Gloria is the Co-Founder of one of India's fastest growing Youth Volunteer network called Make A Difference. It is a platform that empowers youth to become Change Leaders who make positive social impact in the lives of children at risk in orphanages, street shelters and poor homes. MAD has won several accolades for its work- The Ashoka Staples Youth Social Entrepreneur Award, India Shines, Mahindra Spark the Rise, among others. Gloria brings with her the experience of building an enormous youth network modeled around creating impact in the daily lives of vulnerable children and her story of how Youth- today has immense potential to change and shape India's future
  • Adamu Bashiru
    Bashiru is the founder of the NGO Dream Again that works towards empowering prisoners to believing in their human worth and dignity, and to educate themselves while they are serving their time in jail. Starting with establishing a library in Otukpo Prison, in Benue, Nigeria, Bashiru's foundation focuses on giving the inmates the chance to nurture into believing in themselves to live a life of passion in a positive direction. He wants to start prison academies that equip prisoners with entrepreneurship skills that will enable them to earn a honest life after their release, thus helping to reduce further crime
  • Abhijeet Barse
    Dr. Abhijeet Barse is the Chief Executive Officer of Slum Soccer, a Social Inititaive that aims at empowerment of Slum Dwellers through the innovative application of football. The idea behind Slum Soccer is that Football can incorporate a lot of values and skills that are basic to life. The curriculum introduced by Dr. Barse has helped inculcate values of leadership, commitment and respect for all, among team members. Here, people participate irrespective of gender and they learn the values of team work and gender equality - where women are treated as equal to men. Through this initiative social misfits have acquired the ability to work in teams, trust their team members, and at the same time, it has improved their self esteem. Proper nourishment is ensured for the participants; thus it not only takes care of their physical fitness but also reduces alcohol and drug abuse cases.
  • Paul D'Souza
    Mr. D'Souza's career with inventing begun while working in his mid 20's as a software developer for an agro firm as he designed a compact Gherkin Sorting Machine which revolutionized their business. Having been always passionately fond of mechanical horology he started inventing horological devices. He invented a Mechanical Perpetual Calendar, Three Large Date Display Mechanisms and a Differential Escape Mechanism. Recently he has been keenly working with the Visually Impaired- the result of which is the Multi- Line Refreshable Braille Display Paul believes in trying to use his creativity for some benefit to those who would benefit with some assistance!
  • Geraldine Willcocks
    An anthropology graduate, Ms. Geraldine began her career working with refugees for the UN Refugee Agency. Her experience with the agency taught her that the greatest change happens at the local level, and she came to India to commit herself to helping make the changes that are so needed by the poorest in these communities. Since joining the Seb's Projects team, she has worked with Community Health and sustainable Livelihoods programs in the Jawadhi Hills tribal regions and in the rural/ slum areas of Velllore. Currently coordinating the Illuminae, SLP and HEAL Programs, her passion is using a community led approach in these areas to empower poverty affecting the female population, to improve their health and individual lives and to encourage them to become leaders in the welfare of their community
  • Narayana Peesapaty
    An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Forest Management and former member of numerous teams like the IWMI, AC Nielsen ORG Marg, Mr Peesapaty is an expert in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, forests and forests based cottage industries, institutional initiatives for rural development, non conventional energy sources and power He is an innovator and entrepreneur with a dream to correct the cropping pattern, introduce an alternative to plastic disposable cutlery which will be almost as cheap and to bring about enhanced export earnings through his concept of Edible Cutlery through his start up - BK Environmental Innovations
  • Arun Nair
    Arun Nair is the Founder of Punchline Comics Punchline comics is a one of its kind initiative which presents Stand Up Comedy in the way of a contest. The show is in the nature of open mic and is judged by both Judges and the citizens. Starting from Bangalore, it has now spead to Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune Arun Nair, who has worked as Sales and Marketing Manager at Zomato and a Financial Analyst at D.E. Shaw and Co. started this Non Profit Venture with the aim to make more people laugh and also to give a platform to anyone with talent to exhibit it!
  • Sarath Champati
    A wildlife enthusiast for the past 30 years, Sarath has traveled extensively in India and to about 25 countries in pursuit of wild animals including to both the Poles. He has hands on experience of guiding many prestigious wildlife groups. He loves to trek and has climbed Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa besides extensive trekking in the Himalayas. He is the founder-president of Kabini Foundation, as NGO working with local communities in Kabini area for reducing human pressure on wildlife habitat.
