Paradigm shift was a term first used by Thomas Kuhn meaning change in basic thinking frameworks. In this event, our three speakers will bring you through a journey of new perspectives, of looking into life with completely different mindsets - paradigm 2.0.

Dr Dennis Yeo

Dennis Yeo began his teaching career in 1988 and has taught in primary, secondary and JC levels. He was Subject Head (Literature), HOD (Pastoral Care & Career Guidance) and Vice-Principal at Pioneer Junior College before being seconded to NIE in Jan 2009. Specialised in literature padagogy, film studies and Gothic fims, his PhD dissertation discusses the Postmodern Gothic Film.

Stephen Black

Graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (NY), Stephen Black is an artist currently based in Singapore. Besides numerous private collections, his artwork is in the collections of: Columbia University, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography and the A.R.T collection (Tokyo/J. Walker). He is also a writer and a musician. One of his current efforts is to reserve local cultural heritage with an artistic yet still down-to-earth approach. For example, he has created art pieces inspired by Kway and actually made Kway as a complimentary refreshment for the patrons of his exhibition.

Benjamin Wong Yew Weng

Benjamin was the President of VJ Debate and VJ SpeakOut from 2010 to 2011. He was one of the top eight speakers in Singapore Can Speaker and also participated in Global Young Leader's Conference in Washington.
