Santa Marianita, Ecuador

About this event
The event in Santa Marianita is directed to inspire 50 children from the local public school, teach them about the impact they can have in their community and to appreciate their surroundings. TED talks will be combined with on-site workshops on art and design through the re-use of waste, to better understand the impact our activities have on the environment.
Veronica Reed is an architect and environmental activist. With the development of the children's library space in Santa Marianita, built with recycled and recovered materials, Veronica wanted to share with the children in this coastal town, the importance of our role in caring for our environment to secure the well being of coastal communities who depend on the ocean through bright ideas and creativity in he use of waste.
