Our event is part of the global TEDx community, which is dedicated to spreading ideas worth sharing. TEDx events are independently organized and aim to uncover new ideas and share them with the world. Our focus is on Education, Community Development, and Entrepreneurship, and we empower these pillars to cultivate courage, enhance quality of life, and promote self-reliance. Khem Raj Lakai

Khem Lakai, hailing from Shailung Dolakha, holds a commerce degree from Tribhuwan University, complemented by a hospitality education acquired in Switzerland and Australia. With a specialization in experiential learning, Khem has impacted the lives of over 5,000 students from 23 different nationalities across the Kathmandu and Pokhara campuses since 2007. Serving as a board of trustee at PATA Foundation, Khem is also the esteemed Founder and CEO of the renowned Global Academy of Tourism & Hospitality Education (GATE College). Furthermore, he co-established GATE Polytechnic Academy and FAB School in Pokhara, which offers free education in collaboration with Rights4Children to empower vulnerable youth from various corners of Nepal. Khem Lakai proudly represents Nepal as an Ambassador for the World Innovation Forum and serves as a distinguished Board Member of EUHOFA International.
