Theme: Sit, Reflect,and Reconnect

This event occurred on
November 11, 2023
Surakarta, Jawa Tengah
Indonesia

The theme 'Sit, Reflect, and Reconnect' provides us with an opportunity to create a platform for the community, especially the youth, to engage in self-reflection and reestablish connections with the often-overlooked small moments in life. TEDxUNS 2023 adopts the theme 'Sit, Reflect, and Reconnect,' inspired by the philosophy of Indonesian tea, particularly Javanese tea culture. Rooted in generations of tradition, the practice of tea, or 'ngeteh,' is typically an act of self-reflection, a moment to reminisce, appreciate, and cherish even the smallest moments in life that are often forgotten or overlooked. Through the multidisciplinary concepts of TEDxUNS, divided into three sub-themes in the fields of Psychology, Technology, and Art, we aim to explore how simple practices can bring about positive changes in our lives and help us reconnect with the world around us.
