In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Currently, she is a freshman at the School of Science and Technology High School, is ranked #1 and aiming for valedictorian her senior year. Her goal is to go to Rice University and take psychology courses to become a psychiatrists.

Ashton Sigler was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is a graduate of TAMUCC and current graduate student at Stephen F. Austin University. She has worked at SST since 2011 first as a teacher and now as a Family & Student Engagement Coordinator. Her talk is titled: “The Right to Character Development: Exploring the Importance of a Comprehensive Character Development Program

Brian is an Inspirational Keynote Speaker and CEO/Founder of Alementi Elevates. His passion is elevating mindsets and performance with impactful and entertaining keynotes, engaging workshops and effective speaker coaching.

Celeste De La Garza

Sophomore student
A current sophomore at the School of Science and Technology High school, Celeste is a dual credit student and school news anchor. Her plan is to become a psychologist after graduating from St. Mary’s University. The talk she is giving is titled “A Speech About Speeches: How to Overcome the Challenges of Public Speaking”

Christian Aparicio

Student
Christian Aparicio is a bilingual First Generation Mexican-American and a current junior at SST, ranked #1 and projected to be his year's Valedictorian. He plans to become a Nurse Practitioner and attend the Bachelors of Nursing Science program at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, and currently takes 4 college courses, including EKG and phlebotomy.

Guray Taysever

Educator
Dr. Taysever is a visionary thinker, renowned school leader, and academic scholar, serving as a catalyst for change in educational institutions. With 29 years of experience in public schools spanning from kindergarten to grade 12, Dr. Taysever's expertise extends to developing leadership capacity for successful organizational outcomes and cultivating emerging leaders. His recent article was published in the Journal of Leadership in Organizations, showcasing his dedication to advancing educational leadership research. Having served in schools both domestically and internationally across five different states, Dr. Taysever's character and leadership skills have consistently contributed to fostering well-rounded individuals prepared to serve society. His commitment to holistic education goes beyond academics, emphasizing the importance of character development and community engagement. He holds a PhD in Higher Education and an Advanced Leadership Certification from Harvard University.

Medha Pulluru is a senior at Vista Ridge High School with a vision to start a biotech startup. She’ll give a talk on her research, relating to how drugs and other stimulants are causing diseases in the brain.

A graduate of St. Mary's University, and Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, with more than twenty years of experience in science education, and research experience in science education and studying abroad, will give a talk titled “Just Say Yes: Study Abroad.”
