In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Elham Sadat

Elham Sadat is a prominent lawyer and the founder of Divan Law Firm, a leading legal service provider in Afghanistan. He is also a PhD candidate of law. As a member of the International Lawyers Network, he has participated in various conferences and workshops on human rights, gender equality, and peacebuilding.

Fatima Amiri

Fatima Amiri is an 18-year-old Afghan student and activist who survived a suicide attack on a tuition center in Kabul in 2021. She lost an eye and suffered severe injuries to her jaw and ear, but did not give up on her education. She passed her university entrance exams with flying colors and is now studying computer science in Turkey. She is also a vocal advocate for the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, especially their right to education and work. She was named one of the BBC 100 Women 2022 for her courage and resilience in the face of adversity. She hopes to inspire other young Afghans to fight for change and peace in their war-torn country.

Massahiro Okochi

Masahiro Okuchi is the Director of Okochikai Medical Corporation and the Okochi Internal Medicine Clinic in Japan. With a career spanning over three decades, he specializes in diabetes and gastroenterology. Okuchi graduated from Nagoya City University in 1990 and went on to serve as a resident in Internal Medicine at Nagoya City University Hospital. In 2012, he assumed the role of Director at the prestigious Okochi Internal Medicine Clinic, renowned for its exceptional healthcare services. Okuchi's commitment to patient care and compassion has been recognized with several awards, including the 10th Awards for Japan's Most Caring Companies in 2020 and the 7th White Company Awards in 2021. His clinic's achievements were also featured in the book series 'Japan's Most Caring Companies' in 2022.

Nazir Yosuf

Mohammad Nazir Yousf holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Law from Khurshid University in Kabul, Afghanistan. Before relocating to Germany, he served as a Video Journalist and Multimedia Trainer at Khurshid Practical Journalism from 2017 to 2021.Additionally, he worked as a Team Coordinator at Darakht-e-Danesh Online Library, affiliated with the Canadian Women for Afghan Women organization, for a year. Notably, Yousf is an active member of society, having conducted dozens of interviews with various media outlets. He has been recognized for his contributions to public discourse and engagement through these seminars, workshops, and webinars. In January 2022, Yousf embarked on a journey to Germany to further his education and refine his skills. He successfully completed the German language course for the university, reaching the B2-C1 proficiency level at Leibniz Universität Hannover. During his time in Germany, he worked as a Multimedia Journalist for Neuen deutschen Medienmacher, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to excellence in the field. Currently, he aspires to commence his master's studies in the upcoming semester, demonstrating his ambition and dedication to furthering his education and professional development.
