Anvi Garyali is a student at the University of Texas at Austin studying Health & Society and is passionate about policy and advocacy. Over the last few years she has contributed to working for the Fort Bend Community Prevention Coalition in Houston, Texas, promoting mental health awareness and substance abuse prevention. Garyali presented at the 32nd Annual National Leadership Forum of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) - the nation’s largest and premier training event at Washington DC for substance abuse prevention and treatment. At the forum, Garyali educated civilians and policymakers at Capitol Hill about her self-generated non-profit organization “Rhythm of Life” - promoting the importance of mindfulness.
