In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Claire Barnett

Claire Barnett is a neurodiversity and disability advocate with a focus on empowerment in the workplace. She will graduate this May from the Full-Time MBA program at Kenan-Flagler Business School, where she founded the Carolina Disability Alliance to provide resources and community for Kenan-Flagler students with disabilities. While an MBA student, Claire also founded a non-profit organization called the Empwr Disability in Business Association (@empwr.mba), which hosted the first national recruiting conference for disabled business students and allies this past fall. She currently serves as executive director of the organization, which will host its second annual conference this November in Washington, D.C.
