TEDxTrinityBellwoodsWomen is a day of live TEDx talks and performances at the Metro Hall, Rotunda in Toronto with inspirational speakers in the field of science, leadership, social entrepreneurship, education, design and entertainment.

Jennifer Britton

Coach, Author and Founder Potentials Realized
Jennifer Britton is the founder of Potentials Realized, an award-winning coaching, training and consulting company. Well-known for her thought leadership in the areas of group and team coaching, Jennifer is passionate about exploring how the coaching conversation can be scaled to involve more people globally. Jennifer supports clients, teams and organizations building onto her former leadership with global projects with the UN, and Canadian and British humanitarian organizations. Jennifer is the author of several books exploring coaching and the evolution of work and teams, ( including her first, Effective Group Coaching (2009), From One to Many: Best Practices for Team and Group Coaching (2013), and her latest series, Reconnecting Workspaces: Pathways to Thrive in the Virtual, Remote and Hybrid World (2021). Jennifer’s first TEDx talk is entitled “Virtual, Remote and Hybrid Checklist” and focused on the core ingredients for successful virtual, remote and hybrid work.

Kwame Osei

Educator and Coach
Kwame was born in Ghana but raised in a community within Toronto called Rexdale, which is known for low income housing, high drugs, violence and gang rates. Kwame’s environment created a low expectations narrative for him. Kwame’s mindset as a teen was “expect the worst and hope for the best” This perspective on life lead to Kwame getting in trouble with the law. Through sports Kwame was able change his mindset and escape the negative narrative. Since then he has earned two University Degrees, he became a teacher and is currently teaching at a Federal Prison in Ontario. Kwame played professional football in the CFL and has coached at multiple levels in Canada including his current position at Queen’s University. Kwame is an entrepreneur, author and Amazing Race Canada cast member. He has a passion for public speaking and particularly loves to speak to youth, as he strives to be the person he needed when he was young.

Lucy La Grassa

Business
Lucy La Grassa PhD, is a successful entrepreneur, strategic communications professional and leadership ethics advisor with over 30 years of experience building and running businesses. She is a partner in Mussio La Grassa, Inc. and a Chair for The Executive Committee (TEC Canada) where she works with CEOs to help them grow their companies and grow as leaders. Lucy is a Certified Positive Intelligence Coach and cares deeply about the impact of decision-making in life and work.

Raia Carey

Shara Ally

Doctor in Nursing Practice and Entrepreneur
Dr. Shara Ally is also known as Ms. Canada United World 2022. She is the Founder and CEO of the mental health and well-being consultation company NEUROorganics Inc. and the Cancer Care Ambassador at Grand River Hospital. Dr. Ally is known for her clinical and business acumen as she has earned her DNP, MBA, MN, and BScN degrees. Dr. Ally brings a wealth of knowledge about nursing, business, and mental health as a Professor, Consultant, and Board Member. Dr. Ally has published her research in the Family Physician Journal, Developmental Disabilities Ontario textbook, and presented across the USA, Canada, India, and Europe. She was awarded a Fellowship in 2019 to teach about health and safety at Chitkara University in Chandigarh, India, for which she had the opportunity to meet the Dalai Lama to learn about eastern approaches to mental health care. Dr. Ally fuses her medical and business backgrounds to provide high yield health and wellness products, education, and services.

T.J. Hills

Women’s Health Speaker, Author and Change Agent
T.J. Hills is the Author of the Best-Selling Book, Sex, Drug, Babies and Breast Cancer: Health Benefits of Estrogen Gene Testing. In breast cancer remission since 2009, TJ is a Founding Board Member of the Better Estrogen Foundation, Former CEO and Board Member of the Estrogen Gene Test Co and Hormonal Cancer Foundation. T.J. Hills spent 35 years on Wall Street; founding a research and data consultancy 25 years ago that advises Institutional Investors. She is a Change Agent who has appeared on National TV, radio and print outlets across the country and spoken at major medical and corporate conferences as well as large and small women’s groups inspiring women and their physicians to take control of their health starting with a simple estrogen gene test.
