In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

The author of the poetry book called Ardour, was born in Mukula Village, Vhembe District Municipality, Limpopo, South Africa. She grew up fetching water at Tshamurenzhele Fountain and used to go the mielie-field together with her grandmother. She is a grade 12 learner with big dreams for the future.

Tshwanelo Modise is a Product Design expert who is passionate about the power of ideas. As a creative problem-solver, Tshwanelo is driven by curiosity and motivated by crafting work that impacts people's lives positively. As a creative technologist who is innovating towards a future where no one gets left behind, Tshwanelo hopes that her contributions to the field of socio-informatics will prompt the world to look to Africa for the blueprint of inclusive innovation.
