TEDx is coming back to UWC Red Cross Nordic! On April 2nd, 2022, students, staff, and external speakers will present inspiring and informative talks on a wide range of topics.

TEDxUWCRCN will take place at United World College Red Cross Nordic (UWCRCN), one of the eighteen United World College schools all over the world. UWCRCN is located in Flekke, Sogn og Fjordane on the west coast of Norway. Although a small community in size, Flekke is one of the most diverse cities in Norway. Our school, UWCRCN is a dynamic community with current students representing close to 100 nationalities. Each of our speakers has undergone a rigorous application process and is all exceptionally motivated and driven to improve and advance the world through politics, art, science, economics, technology, and more.

This year's theme is Anarchy of Change. When referring to anarchy, we most closely mean the state of disorder and chaos an environment can find itself in. Oftentimes, people advocate for change without considering the ramifications and consequences of it. Whether it be change in STEM, change in politics, or social change, we want to emphasize that change can be a bumpy process. In these talks, we hope to create a dialogue about things to consider before radically changing a system and what can be learned from past experiences. We want to spark discussion about the chaos and disorganization that comes from change, regardless of what that means to you.
