About this event
This event is intended to present new, vibrant and fresh ideas how we can transform library venues in order to change their roles and positions in the environment of contemporary big city, to gain new meaning and spirit of their work to bring innovations and new leaders over there, to do them real hearts of local communities. In addition we would like to introduce expectations of Russian civil society from libraries and their personnel

Boris Dubin
Boris Dubin is a Russian sociologist, and a translator for English, French, Spanish, Latin American and Polish literature. Also he is a lecturer of sociology of culture at the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Moscow higher school of social and economic sciences. Dubin is the head of Department of Social and Political Researches at the Levada Center and the assistant to the editor-in-chief of the sociological journal Russian Public Opinion Herald. Dubin is the winner of different awards for his essays and translations. Chevalier of The Ordre national du Mérite (France). -
