In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ahmad Esber

Ahmad Zareef Esber, 32, a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Tishreen University in 2017. Ahmad worked as a volunteer in the Red Crescent during 2006 Lebanon War. He was a trainer in the national team for organizing Syrian dialogue (2011- 2012). A team building trainer from 2012, and a volunteering trainer at Syrian Trust for Development centers in Tishreen University. A coordinator of volunteers at a local anti- hunger initiative in Tartus in 2013. A youth coordinator at Syrian Trust for Development in Drekesh in 2017. A trainer for speed reading and professional CV writing at many governmental and non governmental organizations and private institutions from 2016.

Hadeel Abbas

Hadeel Ali Abbas, 30, a French Translation student at Tishreen University. Hadeel has been an activist in community work for 10 years. A founder member, a secretary, and a former board member at FADA Association for Community Development. A program consultant and a training programs specialist. Her work focuses on mental health, nonviolence, understanding disputes, and studying the needs of society. Hadeel works constantly to create dialogue spaces for youth and to encourage them to get involved in community work and to take their roles to stop violence in society. Hadeel is also the presenter of "Sardeh" TV program which highlights the concept and goals of community work.

Ibrahim Al shaikh (Adam)

Ibrahim Souhail Al shaikh, Adam, 17 years old. Despite his young age and being still a student, Adam has diversity of interests in life and a great confidence in his potentials that led him to participate in our event and be the youngest speaker at TEDxyouth@hananostreet. He is an advocate for environmental issues and for fighting human-caused global warming. Adam has great passion for art, music, and cinema in addition to his love for surrealist and impressionistic painting and photography. He also likes reading especially in English, writing criticism, and volunteering works.

Mohamad Dayoub

Mohamad Souliman Dayoub, he is 30 years old. CEO of AraCoders software company, and founder of "Tarjem" platform for translation training. Web and mobile apps developer, and has been working as a freelancer for 7 years. Mohamad won the first place at the national competition for informatics in 2010. He also has a book "The First Step: Your Guide to the Basics of E- Marketing and Freelancing". He is a trainer for freelance work, and has several articles on freelancing and entrepreneurship published on Arabic websites like Academia and Hsoub.

Mohamad Hassan

Mohamad Jawdat Hassan,18 years old. A second-year Medicine student at Tartus University. A winner at the local elocution competition organized by JCI Tartus in 2021. A member of the winning team at the local debate competition organized by JCI Tartus in 2021. A member of the winning team at the National School Debate Championship organized by Syria Trust for Development in 2018.

Noor Aldeen Nabhan

Noor Aldeen Nabhan, 19 years old, from Latakia. A professional painter and a science fiction writer. Noor Aldeen gave his first lecture at the age of 16 during "Scientific Saturday" event in 2019, and it was about Einstein-Rosen Bridge, under the title "Types of holes and time travel: from science fiction to reality". He was the youngest of only three Syrian participants at the 5th Middle-East and Africa Regional (IAU) Meeting (MEARIM V 2020) which has leading researchers in Cosmology, and where he presented a new method of thinking about the future of the cosmos that includes new equations he deduced by his own. At the age of 18, he had his first research paper on Cosmology, along with the Dean of the Engineering Faculty at Manara University, published at the first edition of Manara Journal in 2021, and he was the only student to publish in the journal until now. Despite his young age he holds the position of the head of the space sciences department at the Syrian center for developing talents in physics.

Reda Ghassa

Reda Adnan Ghassa, 21. He has a secondary school certificate from "The National Center for the Distinguished". He accomplished a project on medical plants tissue culture and has a related research paper and another paper on Biology that will be published soon. An Informatics Engineering student at the SVU, and a 2020 Business Administration student at The University of the People. A former student at the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology, and was the supervisor of the piano club since he has been playing the piano for 6 years. Reda is interested in mental health issues and writing creative stories. He also has a great passion for learning languages, he speaks English and learning French and German. A volunteer at "Amal 2" project organized by the "Angelic Association of Anis Saade

Sawsan Ismail

Sawsan Saleh Ismail,28, has a bachelor's degree in medicine and a master's degree in Pathology. Sawsan has more than ten research papers published in well-established peer- reviewed British, French and American journals. A reviewer at many peer-reviewed world journals, and a participant in many national and international conferences on cancer diagnosis. A lecturer at many conferences and training workshops. A member in: The United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP). The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). Sawsan wins the "Young Investigator Support Award" by the (AMP) in 2020, and also the "Ten Outstanding Young Persons" award, JCI Syria TOYP 2021.

Waseem Tayar

Waseem Moufed Tayar, 37. A bachelor's degree in Law and a master's degree in International Public Law, the Rights of Disabled in International Law specialization. Founder and volunteer at "Lawn" association for blind and visually impaired in Safita 2012-2019. ORV volunteer at the community care center related to GOPA organization in Tartus 2015-2016. Supervisor of Safita center for children and adolscents care under "Hope 1" project organized by the Angelic Association of Anis Saade in 2017. Manager of Cash Transfer Program for children with disabilities in Tartus 2018-2019. Coordinator of Adolescents Development and Participating program (ADAP) established by the Angelic Association of Anis Saade 2020-2021.
