In the 152 year history of the Law Institute of Victoria, the peak body representing the solicitors of Victoria, there are only 5 women who have been made President. Caroline Counsel is the 5th.
Caroline is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and a Collaborative Practitioner. As a Collaborative Lawyer, Caroline signs contracts with her clients never to go to Court.
Instead of focusing on the “fight”, all of her efforts are aimed at the best possible outcome for the family as a whole.
To me, Danica embodies transformation. She is so committed to living a life she loves and living from her most authentic self that she almost visibly stretches and reaches into that every day, and can’t help but be a positive influence on those around her.
Danica is Founding Director of coaching service ‘Create Your Own Adventures’, anand Entertainer with a BA in Contemporary Dance, a practicing Yogini, athlete and qualified Yoga Teacher and artistic director of flash mobs.

Asuka is currently a MA student of Creative Arts Therapy at MIECAT; with a particular passion in harnessing movement, dance and psychodrama as a way of working with individuals towards meaningful self-expression, understanding and healing. As part of her MA, she is immersed in a qualitative and auto-ethnographic research process for her thesis based around the lived experience of authenticity. Asuka is a founding director of Kinfolk cafe on Bourke St, a social business cafe that redirects it profits to various grassroots development projects and played an full-time role in the cafe's management and volunteer coordination up until July this year.

Camilla Maling is an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher, yoga therapist, dancer & sound designer. She moved to Melbourne from the UK a couple of years ago and has a young daughter.
Yoga, movement and sound are the mediums through which she inhabits, explores and digests her world. It is through these that she seeks to unravel the beauty in the ordinary, to take people deep into their own bodies and reveal the greatest metaphor for living, you - a magnificent example of the sophistication of nature.
Alexie O’Brien is the General Manager for Retail Operations at lululemon athletica Australia/NZ – a yoga inspired retailer originating from Vancouver, Canada. She is responsible for Retail Stores, Wholesale, Marketing and the execution of the brand roll out across Australia and NZ. Alexie joined the organisation in 2007 in Australia, when it was a 2 store franchise, as the Financial Controller. She has been instrumental in the arrival of the brand in Australia with significant growth over the last 3 years across Australia and NZ.
She held a number Senior finance roles across a 7 years period, including Asia Pacific Finance Director based in Bangkok, Thailand.
She became a Chartered Accountant at the age of 22 in Brisbane before setting off on her around the world adventures that have seen her live in 5 countries. She is now based in Melbourne with her husband, 2 children and 3 stepchildren. She loves yoga, pilates, dancing, healthy eating and time with her family.
Dr Kalvinder Shields is an academic and a life-long practitioner of meditation and in particular, over the past 15 years, using the techniques taught by the Brahma Kumaris. She actively engages in voluntary work teaching meditation, facilitating retreats and organising events and is currently the coordinator of an initiative called Choose to be Calm which is a not-for-profit venture which engages with individuals, communities and organisations to promote calm.
