Ali Afshar

Travel Demand Forecaster
Ali Afshar studied architecture at the University of Tehran. His interest in education and improving living conditions led him to earn a doctorate in transportation planning and engineering from New York Polytechnic University. Two decades of continuous activity to plan and design for the sustainable development of human habitats have led to extensive research on public and non-motorized transport and scientific management to reduce the consequences of traffic collisions and air pollution using new technologies. Ali Afshar believes that, as a citizen, we must take responsibility for shaping the situation in which he finds himself and be fully aware of the impact I have on the country's decisions.

Danny Asadi

Music Performer
ASADI is a US producer known for his Persian Trap Music and live drum pad performances. He modernizes unique melodies and rhythms from a diverse assemblage of Persian styles, producing them with his personal approach to the electronic, hip-hop, and trap genres.”

Hanif Rastgoftar

Sustainability Advisor
Hanif Rastgoftar is a senior advisor on energy/sustainability/decision engineering/technology policy/smart infrastructures. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and has worked in academia and industry for more than 12 years in Britain and the Middle East.

Jabiz Hafizi

Piano Performer
Jabiz Hafizi was born in Tehran. After completing her Industrial Engineering study, she decided to pursue her childhood passion and dream of becoming a professional pianist (however, Iran has its own traditional and cultural influences within music, leaving little or no room for western classical music). In 2016 She graduated with her Bachelor`s degree in classic Piano Performance from Utrecht conservatory under the guidance of Prof. Martyn Van den Hoek. She also followed several masterclasses and workshops with Enrico Pace, Alan Weis, Henry Kelder, Deborah Nemko, José María Curbelo González, Marco & Rafaelle Terlizzi, among others. Furthermore, she has received lessons in Jazz Improvisation with Rembrandt Frerichs. In 2019 Jabiz received her Master's degree at the Maastricht Conservatory under the guidance of professor Joop Celis. In October 2019, she was invited as a guest to give a lecture about her successful Master research to Master students of the Maastricht Conservatory.

Mona Khaleghy Rad

Climate Change Activist
Mona Khaleghy Rad, due to her boundless interest in basic sciences and astronomy, completed her bachelor's degree in physics and continued planetary science for her master's degree. After completing the master’s program, despite her keen interest in the celestial sciences, she could not be indifferent to the events that threaten human life (from earthquakes and volcanoes to climate change and landslides). For her Ph.D., she studied the risk of natural disasters and their effects on human beings. She continued her postgraduate studies on risk assessment of natural disasters. Her academic and professional activities focus on (environmental) data science, climate change, and public health. She believes in and is interested in public education. Ms. Khaleghy Rad sees all human beings in one boat and emphasizes on the influencing role of individuals in the destiny of all.

Sheller Ghorbani

Entrepreneur
Scheller Ghorbani Born in Tehran in 1987, an MBA graduate with work experience at Orange Telecom of France, with environmental concerns, thought of producing environmentally friendly cosmetics. Following sustainable development, she saw one way to do this in cosmetics and tried to take advantage of hidden opportunities in the industry, and thus Anshel was born.
