In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alessandro Armillotta

Alessandro è il CEO e co-founder di AWorld, la piattaforma e App a supporto della campagna delle Nazioni Unite per le azioni individuali sul cambiamento climatico e la sostenibilità, ActNow. L’App è un’applicazione user-friendly che ha l’obiettivo di educare e sensibilizzare le comunità a realizzare piccole azioni quotidiane sostenibili e collegare gli utenti ad aziende ed organizzazioni che contribuiscono alle diverse dimensioni della sostenibilità. Alessandro è un imprenditore Tech, dedito all’innovazione e alla sostenibilità. Vanta un’esperienza nella comunicazione e nel marketing in ambito web e startup. Ha fondato e diretto diversi progetti e-commerce B2B e B2C a livello internazionale ottenendo vari riconoscimenti come il Netcomm Award e l’NC Digital Awards. Dal 2019 si dedica a tempo pieno alla startup AWorld vincitrice, fra l’altro, della Zurich Innovation Championship e del Premio Impact Now.

Claudia - Daniele Carotenuto - Giustozzi

CLAUDIA CAROTENUTO Da sempre con l’attitudine alla scrittura, al giornalismo e al mondo dell’audiovisivo, a 18 anni inizia a scrivere per diverse testate giornalistiche. A 21 anni si laurea in Letteratura Musica e Spettacolo presso l’Università La Sapienza di Roma con una tesi dal titolo “Roma come set cinematografico – da Rossellini a Sorrentino”, indagando il mutamento socio-culturale del cinema e della Capitale. Vince una borsa di studio presso la scuola di Alta Formazione EIDOS Communication, dove frequenta un master in Giornalismo e Giornalismo Radiotelevisivo. Nello stesso periodo lavora nella redazione di SKYTG24. Subito dopo inizia a lavorare per diverse case di produzione, come autrice, per documentari e programmi televisivi di prima e seconda serata per Rai e Sky. Nel 2019 scrive, dirige e produce “Controcorrente – lo stato dell’acqua in Italia” il primo documentario a impatto zero e finanziato dalla rete attraverso il crowdfunding da giovani under 30. Controcorrente ha vinto la menzione speciale al Festival CinemAmbiente 2019, ha partecipato ad altri 7 festival nazionali e registrato una serie di sold out in tutta Italia. DANIELE GIUSTOZZI Da sempre si dedica attivamente a questioni sociali e ambientali. Dopo la laurea triennale, conseguita con la lode in Scienze Politiche per la Cooperazione e lo Sviluppo presso l’Università di Roma Tre, si trasferisce a Torino per frequentare il corso di Laurea Magistrale in Economia dell’Ambiente della Cultura e del Territorio, terminato anch’esso cum laude. Ha prodotto con alcuni colleghi universitari “FEU” cortometraggio artistico sugli incendi della Val di Susa avvenuti nell’ottobre 2017, presentato come evento speciale al Festival del CinemAmbiente 2018. Nel 2019 scrive, dirige e produce “Controcorrente – lo stato dell’acqua in Italia” il primo documentario a impatto zero e finanziato dalla rete attraverso il crowdfunding da giovani under 30. Attualmente si sta occupando della redazione del Rapporto Annuale sul Consumo di Suolo di Roma Capitale in collaborazione con ISPRA e Dip. Statistica Roma Capitale.

Enrico Giovannini

Enrico Giovannini is an Italian economist and statistician, member of the Club of Rome. From April 2013 to February 2014, he served as Minister of Labour and Social Policies in the government of Enrico Letta. From 2009 to 2013, he held the office of President of the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat).

Giuseppe Onufrio

Onufrio has been Director of Greenpeace Italy since 2009. He studied physics and has been a researcher in the climate change and energy sector. He has been an environmental activist since the 70s, alternating the activity of researcher and the full-time commitment to our planet

Luca Bergamo

Luca Bergamo is Vice Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Culture of the city of Rome. Before taking up this position, Luca has been the secretary-general of Culture Action Europe. In his earlier career, Luca led the establishment of Zone Attive, a company founded on his proposal by the City of Rome focused on developing revolutionary cultural initiatives. In late 2004, Luca was appointed Director-General of the Glocal Forum, an international foundation promoting peace dialogue in post-conflict areas through local diplomacy and cultural cooperation. In 2007, he was called to lead the launch of the Italian National Agency for Youth (ANG) under the premiership of Romano Prodi.

Marina Ponti

Marina Ponti is the Director of the UN SDG Action Campaign. As one of the main architects of the UN Millennium Campaign -the predecessor of the UN SDG Action Campaign- Ms. Ponti served as Global Deputy Director and Regional Director for Europe for over a decade and was at the vanguard of innovative campaign initiatives, building multi-stakeholder coalitions, mobilizing resources and forging longterm partnerships between civil society organizations, Local Government, parliamentarians, media, the private sector and the UN. Prior, Ms. Ponti was an advocacy and resource mobilization specialist with UNICEF and the UN Secretariat. She also served as Chief Operating Officer at Catapult -a girls and women’s right crowdfunding platform and as Special Advisor on post-2015 during the final negotiations of the 2030 Agenda for the global network Social Watch. Ms. Ponti started her career with the Italian NGO Mani Tese as Head of Campaigning and External Relations, leading global campaigns and movements on debt, trade, human rights, and development assistance. Ms. Ponti has published several articles for newspapers, magazines, online publications, and blogs on the Millennium Development Goals, on the Sustainable Development Goals, on aid effectiveness, financial speculation, gender equality, social development, local development, debt-relief, human rights, and trade.

Ronald Vargas Rojas

Ronald Vargas Rojas is a Soils and Land Officer at FAO and since 2011, he is leading the implementation of the Global Soil Partnership. He is a Bolivian soil scientist with more than 15 years of working experience (research, academic and development) in natural resources management with a focus on sustainable soil management for food security and ecosystem services. His expertise includes land suitability and land degradation assessment, land use planning, soil mapping and soil management for climate change adaptation in Latin America, Africa, Near East and Asia. He has been the promoter of the International Year of Soils, the revised World Soil Charter, the Status of the World’s Soil Resources Report and the Voluntary Guidelines for Sustainable Soil Management.
