Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas in to action. The Goal: To build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 in the race to zero-carbon world - a world that is safer, cleaner, and fairer for everyone.
TEDxChoiceSchoolThiruvalla CountDown 2020 is a half-day virtual event being curated by our team through Zoom, with an audience of about 500 in Kerala, India. He has gained vast experience in efficiently working as a one man crew even in constraining environments. He focuses on environmental and humanitarian issues all over the world with the aim of creating meaningful impact through his films.

Diana Joseph

Diana Joseph, is referred to as a social scientist for her contributions in the development sector working on various child rights, safety and protection issues. Her significant projects document insights into the different ways communities, individuals, groups, and institutions make decisions, exercise power, and respond to change. Her work is testimonial to prove that change is possible through, planned effective delivery, impactful messaging and harnessing broad community support. Over the past 15 years she has represented her work at international organisations like the UNESCO, UNODC etc. Diana was an invited speaker at the United Nations Congressional on Narcotics and Drugs held at Vienna in September 2018 and 2019 on ‘responsible communities as change makers’. She is an avid researcher who has co-authored several articles in journals and presented papers at international forums. Mr. Muralee Thummarukudy, Operations Manager, Disaster Risk Management, United Nations .An internationally renowned expert, with over 28 years of experience in the field of Environment and Disaster Management Response, Mr. Muralee Thummarukudy has been involved in post-disaster response and follow-up of almost all major disasters of the twenty-first century, including the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami, Cyclone Nargis, Haiti Earthquake (2010),Tohoku Tsunami (2011) and floods in Thailand (2011). He has completed assignments in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza Strip, Liberia, Sudan and Rwanda dealing with the environmental impacts of conflicts. Also deployed to China, Japan, Myanmar, Ukraine, Haiti, and Thailand to deal with disasters.

Shloka Nath

Shloka Nath currently leads the Sustainability and Special Projects portfolio at the Tata Trusts, one of India’s leading philanthropic foundations. In this role she is focused on the organization’s work on climate, energy and environment, implementing and funding sustainable and scalable solutions that help both people and nature thrive through India. She is also the Executive Director of the India Climate Collaborative, an India-led platform founded in 2018 by a group of philanthropies interested in continuing to accelerate India’s development, while also exceeding its climate goals. Shloka has a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and a BSc in Government from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also the author of the book, "Hidden India: Journey to Where the Wild Things Are" (April 2018), a compendium of photographs and writing about Indian wildlife and landscapes.

Vishnu P.R is among 100 youngsters being invited to participate in the first UN Youth Climate Summit, a platform to showcase solutions for climate change.
