The uncertainty is always there - the only thing that we can apt and act on is the present. 'Facing The Uncertain' combines ideas that help to come to terms with the uncertain with slated actions and an eye for hope.

General Manager (Turkish Airlines, Kathmandu)

Mr. Abdullah, General Manager of Turkish Airlines for Kathmandu. He has 23 years of working experience in Turkish Airlines, where he has already worked as a Flight Simulator engineer in the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center. A dedicated and passionate Kececi is also an Electronics and Communication Engineer. His journey from an engineer to a general manager has a story that will inspire many.

Anshika Sharma

Miss Universe Nepal 2020

Anshika Sharma, Miss Universe Nepal 2020, advocates for the importance of children receiving a quality education. She believes quality education can do the same for others and opened her foundation that currently supports 24 students who were on the verge of dropping out. She plans on providing these children with all the required support needed for a quality education until they graduate. Anshika believes education empowers them to find their self-worth and will lead them to live a successful life. Professionally a sales analyst in Australia Anshika represented Nepal in Miss Universe 2021, one such contestant who left a strong mark and led the country’s representation like a true queen. She was one of the most exciting and inspiring journeys to watch at Miss Universe 2020. She represented our country with her utmost capabilities and waved the flag with pride and humility.

Bidhan Shrestha

Influencer, Finalist (MTV Roadies Real Heroes)

Mr. Bidhan, an influencer, and finalist of MTV Roadies Real Heroes, playing an important role in rescue and aid for the Covid-19 patients. Mr. Shrestha has made tireless efforts to mitigate the atrocities brought forth by COVID-19, which has been paramount in our fight against the pandemic. He is actively engaged in comforting the victims of the Global Pandemic and has a story that will inspire many.

Dr. Bhagawan Koirala

Cardiothoracic Surgeon/Professor/Social worker

Dr. Bhagawan, head of the department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Tribhuvan University, is the pioneer of open-heart surgery in Nepal. Dr. Koirala has facilitated the free treatment of heart diseases for poor patients: for the children, senior citizens, and those in desperate need. He is involved with numerous social and charitable organizations with the motto “no child in this country shall die of heart disease because of poverty”.

Prabesh Kumar Shrestha

Young and incredible talent who began his career singing cover songs is now a youth sensation. Music is said to be the best way to connect with people, and Mr. Prabesh has certainly been able to mesmerize people with his voice and lyrics. He has now released his original songs and is doing what he enjoys, and he has performed his original songs in this event.

Entrepreneur/Women Empowerment Activist

Ms. Prakriti, an entrepreneur and women empowerment activist, an executive board member of the Social Entrepreneurship Fund under the Government of Nepal. She has made awe-inspiring efforts in empowering women through Shakti Milan. Ms. Mainali has been an avid advocate for women empowerment and lifestyle entrepreneurship for women and her contributions have etched new dawn in the lives of Nepalese women. To recognize and appreciate her contributions, the government of Nepal awarded her with the National Youth Talent Award 2020 in the entrepreneurship category.

Rajesh Hamal

Mr. Rajesh, an actor in the Nepali Film Industry, is known for his iconic roles, unforgettable dialogues, and impeccable on-screen artistry. Mr. Hamal has established himself with a wide range of characters and his on-screen brilliance is etched into the hearts of the entire nation. His journey full of efforts and dedication gave him the name, Mahanayak, and has an inspiring story attached to it.

People tend to express their emotions and experiences in a variety of ways. Every individual has a unique way of expressing themselves. The art of expressing oneself through poetry is extremely rare, and Mr.Rochak stands out in this regard. People could feel the deeper meaning of the poem he recited. Being a member of 'Word Warrior,' a group from 'Spoken Word,' where the majority of the members are young people with the goal of engaging people in the field of this art. In this TEDx talk, Mr.Rochak discusses how different things are when we travel to new places, the culture, architecture, environment, and people we tend to learn when we explore new places and compare it to what we are used to.

Most of the people are settled in foreign countries and many of them never return to Nepal. Mr. Sakar Sharma, the co-founder of Crust Pizza and Bread which serves the best firewood pizza in Kathmandu, was also in the U.S yet he saw 10 times more opportunities here in Nepal and came back. Mr. Sakar Sharma is an entrepreneur and an enthusiast aiming to promote entrepreneurship through different approaches.
