Unlike other TEDx conferences, TEDxDaejeon's salon event idea comes from the culture that has been passed on from ancient Greece's 'Agora', and 'Forum' from the Roman times. It's an event that lets less amount of people create deeper networking, which makes it a 'smaller but deeper communication' event.

Ju Phil

Traditional tea gallery 'Sosanwon' representative In Daeheungdong, Daejeon, there is a traditional tea gallery named 'Sosanwon'. Its representative Ju Pil who makes tea with our oriental ingredients, introduces 'Sosanwon' as a gallery, not just an ordinary tea house. He says tea is like 'serving someone' and describes tea as a communicational link which helps us understand the person in front of us and helps us listen to him/her carefully instead of promoting ourselves.

Eui Cheol Lee

Daejeon Sun Hospital's section chief, a member of 'Veggie Doctor' Section chief Lee Eui Cheol, who currently works at Daejeon Sun Hospital's industrial medicine center is a member of 'Veggie Doctor' which is a group of doctors who are vegetarians. Unlike other general doctors, he emphasizes on the importance of food rather than medicine. He believes that to our disbelief, our body is capable of getting better with food than getting better with medicine.
