In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Elene Jokhadze

The European School student from Georgian Program grade 12
Elene Jokhadze is 17 years old. She’s been studying at European School since the first grade. She is a hard-working and responsible person. She has few hobbies, such as watching movies and hanging out with friends. Elene has taken part in different projects in and out of school. She is slightly interested in design even though she does not paint.

Elene Koblianidze

The European School student from Georgian Program grade 12
Elene Koblianidze is a 17-year-old student at the European School. Since childhood she loved Interacting with animals and has a pet dog which she dearly cares for. In addition, she has a lot of hobbies: she loves to read books, watches movies, plays the piano, and enjoys drawing. She is a shy person but when it comes to global problems she is not afraid to speak up and help out in any way possible.

Elene Phanjakidze

The European School student from Georgian Program grade 12
Elene Phanjakidze is a 17-year-old student at European School. She’s been studying there from the very first grade. After graduating she’s planning to study visual arts. She is responsible, determined, creative, and fun-loving. She loves to paint and communicate with people. Elene believes that getting to know people in life is one of the most interesting things to do and probably the main point of existence. She says “That’s how you get new ideas, create relationships, understand people more and start to see the world in different colors”.

Elene Robakidze

The European School student from IB DP grade 11
Elene Robakidze is a DP year 1 student, currently studying to become an architect. She has been drawing since childhood and throughout the years she has explored different fields of art. Elene does professional photography, traditional art as well as digital and architecture. A few months ago, she finished working on her first big project, a brochure, “Unknown Stories of Old Tbilisi Buildings” and is actively planning on perfecting and releasing it.

Mariam Akhalaia

The European School student from Georgian Program grade 12
Mariam Akhalaia was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. From the very beginning, she enjoyed creative activities and tinkering, this eventually grew into a lifelong passion for creation and constant yearning to create/make. Several coincidences in childhood interests and hobbies developed an orientation for detail which eventually shaped her into the person she is today. Nowadays she is enjoying finding out about anything interesting and peculiar, for it is a wonderful source of inspiration. This search for unusual turned reading, researching, and exploring into a hobby that in turn sustained other hobbies like crafting and drawing. All this is accompanied by a love for philosophy, technology, science, and history.

Mariam Natroshvili

The European School student from AHS grade 11
Mariam Natroshvili studies at the American High School of the European School. She is in 11th grade. Mariam is interested in Economics, Mathematics, and Physics, also she loves to be involved and solve social problems. She has participated in Model EYP where she came up with solutions for refugees, she was also involved in charities and did social work to raise money for those in need. In the future, she plans to attend one of the top universities in America and study Economics.

Mikhail Gedekhauri

Mikheil Gedekhauri is a 17-year-old boy from Tbilisi, Georgia. He is fascinated by the diversity and beauty of the world he lives in. His main passion and goal in life are to explore and experience it as much as possible. His hobbies are learning languages, getting to know different cultures, and traveling.

Nikoloz Bezhuashvili

The European School student from AHS grade 11
Nikoloz Bezhuashvili is a junior at European School’s American High School. Between his preparation for AP exams and his attempts to stay engaged and active in terms of extracurricular activities even during the pandemic, Nika enjoys playing fast chess on and offline. Although his main scientific interest lies with economics, Nika has ventured beyond to explore other disciplines – psychology, comparative government, and world history among others. Multidisciplinary education allows him to be innovative and think big.

Nini Tsertsvadze

Nini Tserstvadze is a 16-year-old student at European School. She is a very responsible, determined, and hard-working person. She has a few hobbies. She likes to try new things out, she was interested in tennis in the past, and model UNs was subject of her interest as well. This helped her to gain a lot of experience. Currently, she loves cinematography, enjoys traveling, and skiing. Nini is a dreamer and is doing everything to make her dreams come true. She is dreaming about traveling around the world.

Tornike Kubaneishvili

Tornike Kubaneishvili is a fun-loving, interesting teenager, who tries to enjoy every moment of his youth. He likes to hang out with his friends, read books, and talk about psychology or philosophy. Besides studying, he likes playing board games and watching football.
