In light of the shifting nature of the COVID-19 virus and the recent Movement Control Order implemented by the Malaysian government which disallows any social gatherings, as well as under the directive of the senior management of HELP University, it is with a heavy heart that the organizing committee announces the postponement of TEDxHELPUniversity event until further notice.

Dr. Eugene Tee

Professor at HELP University, Author
Dr. Eugene Tee is presently Senior Lecturer and Research Coordinator at the Department of Psychology, HELP University, where he teaches and conducts research in the area of emotions and emotional intelligence. Dr. Tee is the founder of Emotivity, a web portal featuring research on emotions and resources on developing emotional intelligence (www.emotivity.my). He is the author of two books: Of Bromances and Biting Cute Babies: Questions about Emotions You (Probably) Never Thought of Asking and Mindfulness and Emotions: Understanding Your Mind and the Benefits of Being Present

Dr. Jayati Roy

Professor at HELP University, Motivational Speaker, Writer and Poet.
Professor Dr. Jayati Roy is an educationist, hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, speaker, coach and author who takes pleasure in helping people raise the level of consciousness and confidence with the secret weapon of the mind. She holds an LLB (Honours) from the University of London, a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Malaya, a Master’s in Education (TESOL) from the State University of New York in Buffalo and a Ph.D. from the Open University of the UK (OUUK) in education (e-learning). Jayati Roy has been writing and publishing academic articles, short stories and poems for more than 25 years. She published short articles in the New Straits Times in the early 1970s and poems in local magazines. Some of her short stories and poems have been published in the Asian Age, an online Bangladesh English language daily since 2017 and recently, in Eksentrika, a local publication. Her journey of helping people achieve success is the story of her life.

Dr. Sudeep Mohandas

Co-Founder of I First International Sdn Bhd
Dr. Sudeep Mohandas’s early career development exposed him to the working environment of government, corporate and the non-profit sector. He was one of the early founders to the setting up of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) and has been involved in the capacity as a council member and Life Member with the Pure Life Society (an orphanage) since he was 27. In 2014, Sudeep set up I First International, a non-profit management consultancy with the mission to professionalize the board and management of non-profits. Some of Sudeep’s notable achievements during his career have been in winning the National HR Award for best HR Employer in 2002, and being an editor to a book on Careers in Conservation, as well as an author of two books What Influences the Generation Y to join a Non-profit Organisation? & Non-profit Management: Trials and Tribulations – both books are in the libraries of three leading International Universities in Malaysia.

Miss Kaylee Koehlinger

Branch Coordinator, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) Malaysia.
Kaylee grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Butler University with a double degree in Arts Administration-Music and International Studies. Kaylee has worked with refugees from Somalia, Eritrea, and Myanmar with various NGOs focused on resettlement, education, and job skills since 2009. In 2014, Kaylee moved to Seoul, South Korea where she started volunteering with Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace organization registered under the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and is in special consultative status with UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Currently Kaylee holds the title of Coordinator with HWPL Malaysia where her job scope includes working with local schools and communities to promote peace education and service activities. She firmly believes that education is the key element in order to empower people and communities to be independent, confident, and finding freedom.

Odilon SANO is a final year student in Marketing at HELP University. He is from Rwanda and shows a great enthusiasm for the state of the World, the different issues and is passionate about what each person can offer.

Mr. Thomas Schuldt

The World Wide Fund (WWF)'s Regional Coordinator for Plastic Circular Economy
Thomas Schuldt is WWF's Regional Coordinator for Plastic Circular Economy. In his current role, he collaborates with business decision makers and policy makers across the ASEAN region supporting the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes. In his previous role, Thomas worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company on circular economy, cleantech and other sustainability-related topics around the world focusing on highly strategic as well as hands-on operational projects. Thomas holds a master's degree in Sustainability Management from the Earth Institute at Columbia University and International Management bachelor's degrees from ESB Business School (Germany) and Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain).

Ms. Mei Phing Lim

Founder of "Got A Phing", Leadership Coach
Mei Phing is the founder of “Got A Phing” and a passionate advocate of youth leadership. Having recognized as a high performer and fast-tracked to senior positions in multiple global multi-national companies whilst only in her 20's, nowadays Mei Phing coaches young high-performing executives and entrepreneurs to navigate complexities and lead the way more effectively to create sustained success. Mei Phing is a culture enthusiast and has travelled to 37 countries and counting.
