Theme: Nostalgia

Nostalgia, remembering the past or the place you can not go back. Very personal feelings, such as homesickness, can be told in this topic, and very grand explorations can be shared here, such as the endless river of history.

The original reason of setting this theme was that we see numerous changes brought about by urbanization. Many villages have been demolished, many streets have been changed, and the places where many people lived as a child or have been visiting for many years have changed. The economy may be improved, may be not, but there is always a place in your heart that you cannot go back to, where is nostalgia born. For people, where you stay for a long time is your hometown, especially where you spent your childhood. Needless to say you can not step into the same river again, but you can not even go back to the place you came from, and that place did make who you really are today. This kind of changes have been quite widespread in China today.

To broaden the scope, perhaps it is not just the elder people who have nostalgia, but the entire human race may have it, for there are always changes in life and lifestyle throughout the whole world. We are currently in an era of prevailing consumerism. Many good and evil, beauty and ugliness are defined by money or by business practices. In a large business environment, we sometimes retro, but it is a fashion, not a thinking. There is also minimalism, but that may not be a reflection, too.

The memories that an old object can evoke may be your story or someone else ’s story. It may happen the year before, or it may have been thousands of years ago. The theme of Nostalgia wants to lead people to think about all the words we familiar with, the fashion we follow, the emotions we can not let go, or other relevant insights.

From this perspective, all the interpretations about Nostalgia here may be partial, and they are not written here to restrict the speaker's expression. This is an inspiration, and hope it will ultimately be an inspiring experience for you.
