Theme: The Colors

This event occurred on

In our society, colors represent the symbolic meaning of different. In the case of occupational groups, the "white" for office workers and the "blue" for workers working in the field have also been established as their symbols, depending on the color of the clothes they wear. We also call the Fourth Industrial Revolution and types of occupations like lawyers, who are heavily represented, as the 'Red Ocean.' On the other hand, ‘Blue ocean’ refers to people who are moving on to emerging fields, like artificial intelligence technicians. Finally, the media that we often encounter in our lives can also be expressed in color. Applying the development of TV to this, RGB terminals were initially developed and color TVs were developed to replace obsolete black-and-white TVs. In addition, it can be seen that LEDs have recently changed to thinner OLED TVs. This development has allowed us to express a variety of colors on TV, which has a significant impact on our lives. We have expressed every moment of society and individuality in color from the past to the present, and even now color is still an influential one that reveals the symbolism of the population. Living in the fast-changing 21st century, we cannot predict tomorrow at once, so we try to leave the future in transparent colors rather than opaqueness. And we're going to open the TEDx event where all the participants, holding the key to painting their future colors, could exchange various stories about colors and think deeply about their own colors. We also want to serve as a stepping stone to sow seeds on their way to the world and help them find colors that could represent their own individuality and our society.

Sangjin Kim

Youtuber
