Theme: Being More

This event occurred on
January 30, 2021
Kogi, Kogi
Nigeria

This year's theme “Being More” dedicates itself to addressing the challenges faced by youths
in Okene, Kogi state, and Nigeria at large in finding their true values through self-development
and how they can contribute to nation-building in their little or big way.

This theme was further inspired by the challenges brought by the COVID19 pandemic. This theme hopes to address the
challenges and inspire the next big step in being more of ourselves through self-development.
The speakers are well-drawn from different fields to inspire us on the line: “If I can do it and
be more of myself, more to the society, then you can too”

TEDxOkene is an independently organised TED event operated under license from TED. It is a
one day event featuring eminent speakers from different fields that will share unique ideas about
Nigeria and the world. This year’s theme is “BEING MORE”.
