Sara Sanford, a 2018 TEDxSeattle speaker, is the Executive Director of Gender Equity Now (GEN) and architect of the GEN Certification. Join her in moving beyond shared stories to shared data to learn how to foster equity and inclusion at work.

These trainings miss a crucial understanding of the problem: It’s not personal. It’s systemic. There is a lack of clarity over what works. Dan Diamond, MD

Dr. Diamond always has a bag packed in case of emergencies. And that is because he has been a First Responder to disasters across the globe from Hurricane Katrina to Haiti. Following Hurricane Katrina, he played a strategic role as Director of the Medical Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center. Most recently he responded to the typhoon in the Philippines and he served as the Medical Director for Medical Teams International’s First Response Team to Haiti. In 2010, the American Red Cross gave him the “Real Hero” award and he also received the Washington State Governor’s Award of Excellence for his work in Haiti. In 2014, Dr. Diamond received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Obama and he also received the Healthcare Heroes Quality of Care Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Diamond is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. He was previously an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine for 33 years. He is a part-time practicing physician at Multicare Immediate Clinic. He was a member of the Editorial Board for the Primary Care Companion to the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.

Patti Dobrowolski

Dobrowolski works with teams and leaders of Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits around the world to inspire them to create new and different strategies while literally capturing the organization’s vision in a 4′ x 8′ illustration. A veteran change agent, Dobrowolski spent her early consulting years on the front line listening to and inspiring teams to re-engage following a reduction in force or merger and acquisition. After she witnessed an artist drawing a real-time picture of the company’s new direction, she added this powerful visual aspect to her work. She now works as a change agent at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to engage the entire staff in extensive cultural shifts. Dobrowolski received her master’s in psychology with an emphasis in drama therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies. She is a member of the National Speaker’s Association, won the Association of Women in Communications Woman of Achievement award in 2004, and in 2008 her former company, Alchemy: The Art of Transforming Business, became an awardee of the Make Mine a Million $ Business program.

Steve Davis

Steve Davis until recently served as President and CEO of PATH, a global health nonprofit with offices in 70 countries. He currently co-chairs the World Health Organization’s Digital Health Technical Advisory Group, and is involved in multiple advisory groups focusing on health, innovation, and technology. Davis has a diverse background in law, public health, and innovation, and he offers a uniquely qualified perspective on how our society can continue to move forward through this time of crisis.
